Personal
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet
Appearance: What stands out immediately about Ginny is her long mane of flaming red hair, which is usually down and all over the place. She's quite short at 5'1" (which makes her hair look all the longer) and has an slim but athletic build; given her personality, however, and her enthusiasm, people often forget just how small she is, even when with her in person. Ginny has pale skin and quite a few freckles, something she's very proud of (despite her hatred of them in her younger years) and never covers them up with makeup. In fact, it's rare for her to wear makeup anyway; while she enjoys dressing up sometimes, usually she likes just being herself. Ginny is considered to be very attractive, although she doesn't think much about that fact.

Strengths: Ginny is a bighearted person who loves just about everyone and everything. She's got a million friends simply because she enjoys meeting people and being sociable, and is never one to turn her nose up at someone. She's whip smart and her mind is always racing, which keeps her alert and on her toes. Ginny has a knack for charms (especially 'modified' charms) which delights her friends and frightens her enemies, and she tends to pick up new ideas and concepts very quickly. Loyal to the core, Ginny would do anything to defend the people she cares about, and would sacrifice herself in a heartbeat if she thought it would save someone she loved.

Weaknesses: Ginny has a hell of a temper, and tends to leap before she looks, a combination which often gets her into hot water. She can be too loyal at times, and gets in over her head while trying to defend someone's honour. Ginny also has a wild streak, and can get herself into trouble while trying to push the limits and challenge herself. It might've been a good thing that she wasn't allowed in the Order at the time.

Personality in 5 Words: Vibrant, Lively, Loyal, Intelligent, Fiery

Likes: Arnold the Pygmy Puff, Her Family, Harry, Her Friends, Quidditch, Charms, Hexes, Adventures, Reading, Long Walks, Ale

Dislikes: Intolerance, Boredom, Monotony, Being Told What to Do, Being Stuck Indoors, Rules

Hobbies: Quidditch, Socializing, Exploring places she shouldn't, Reading good books, Spending time with the people she cares about, Chatting with who ever's around

Achievements: Becoming Reserve Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, Quidditch Captain at Hogwarts, Naming and becoming a Member of Dumbledore's Army, Helping to defeat that Evil Overlord you may have heard of, Slug Club (kind of?)
History
Oh, it's too late to catch me now
Childhood: Ginny Weasley was born the youngest of 7 children - and the only daughter - to Molly and Arthur Weasley on 11 August, 1981. A firecracker from the beginning, Ginny had no other choice but to hold her own against her gaggle of brothers, proving early on that she wasn't about to be steamrolled over by them. Mostly. Outgoing and friendly, Ginny thrived socially as a child and dreamt about the day she'd finally be allowed to go to Hogwarts.

Ginny was, interestingly, a no-nonsense dreamer. From a young age she had no tolerance for tears or tantrums, and despite an impressive temper, she would never cause a scene just for the sake of getting attention. At the same time, she had a vivid imagination and a "the sky's the limit" take on life, and she was never content to simply sit back and watch the world go by her. After watching her brothers grow up and thrive, she wanted nothing more than to follow in their footsteps - but in her own way.

School Years: Like everyone else in her family, Ginny received her Hogwarts letter just before her eleventh birthday, something that, while she knew it was coming, made her so happy she should she was going to burst. Ginny was Sorted promptly into Gryffindor upon her arrival at Hogwarts (the Hat barely touched her head before it made its decision), and it was in Gryffindor that she thrived, socially and academically (despite never being one for much studying.) as outgoing and friendly as ever, Ginny became quite popular, having friends throughout the Tower and in the other Houses. She did hold a rather large grudge against the Slytherins, but there were one or two she did become friendly with despite the bias. As Ginny grew up, she also became quite popular among Hogwarts' male population, something that may have intrigued her a little more than it should. Flirtatious (and always one to like adult attention from boys that weren't her overbearing brothers) and quite pleased with the reaction she could get, Ginny had a string of boyfriends before she and Harry finally got together in her fifth year. Despite their ups and downs, with the war and with Harry away for his seventh year, Ginny remained single her sixth year, unable to think about anyone but him.

Despite her aversion to studying, and her tendency to sometimes not do too well in the subjects that didn't catch her attention (History of Magic, anyone?) Ginny was an excellent practical student, especially in Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her professors encouraged her to study more, but with so many other things to do and spend her time on, Ginny was content to have marks across the board. Ginny enjoyed carrying on in the twins' legacy, and she spent far too much time out of the castle, or running around in areas she shouldn't be in, wanting to make the absolute most of her time there. She had no idea what she wanted to do after Hogwarts, but figured that when the time was right, it'd all fall into place.

Adulthood: Towards the end of her seventh year at Hogwarts, Molly allowed Ginny to come home to more actively participate in the Order's activities. With the mass breakout at Azkaban, Ginny had been constantly asking to leave Hogwarts, considering it far more important to fight for the Order and the greater good of the Wizarding World, rather than spending anymore time in the castle.

Ginny moved into Grimmauld Place with Harry and Hermione following Hermione and Astoria's kidnapping at the hand of Antonin Dolohov, and while the move was at first temporary, after Harry invited her to stay for good she didn't have to think twice about making the move.

In May of 1999, Ginny went back to Hogwarts with Harry and the Class of 1998 in order to sit her NEWTs, partially because her parents had required her to do so in order to leave school in the first place, and partially because she wanted to be back with all of the people she considered her close friends. On 30 May 1999, when the NEWTs were over and the students were taking the Hogwarts Express back to London, the train was overtaken and attacked by Death Eaters. In the ensuing chaos and carnage, Ginny was kidnapped by Gabriel Bole, who'd been stalking her. Bole kept her for a hellish four days, during which he tortured her physically and emotionally, in every inappropriate way that he could. As she was reaching the end of her breaking point, she was rescued by Harry, Bill, Charlie, Dean, Neville, Adrian, and her father.

Arthur Weasley was killed in an attempt to rescue his daughter, and to this day Ginny has a very hard time not blaming herself for her father's death. She knows it was the Death Eaters, but her father died to save her, and it's something that has taken a very long time for Ginny to come to terms with. She absolutely adored her father, and knows she'll always feel a piece of herself missing without him there.

After the ordeal, Ginny spent some time at the Burrow with her mother before she moved back into Grimmauld Place with Harry. As always, the family - both Weasleys and extended - banded together to cope, and over the past three years they've all done their best to keep going. During that time, Ginny regained most of herself back, and does her best to remember her father the way she remembers Fred - as a happy, loving man, who provided the family with enough good memories to last a lifetime. Ginny knows both her father and Fred would be furious if she spent her time thinking about them and ignoring her own life, so she tries now, more than ever, to live life to the fullest, and to make the world a safer place again.

In addition to Ginny's work for the Order, she's also the Reserve Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, making her childhood dream come true. She's itching to become a full Chaser, but just being allowed to practise with the team, let alone actually play in real games, is more than good enough for her.

Unlike her plethora of siblings, Ginny is in no rush to get married or to have children, something that Harry blessedly agrees with her on. They're happily together, and happily living together, and they're more than content to share in everyone else's celebrations, while at the end of the day keeping their relationship to just the two of them. Despite all the wheedling from her mother, and her brothers' skill at popping out children, Ginny and Harry are planning to stay just that for the next decade or so.
